Up Front! Free Wordpress Theme

After almost 2 years dealing with WordPress stuff, I finally release my first WordPress Theme.

Up Front! is a free grid based magazine style theme, with a lot of space to help your content stand out.

No fancy options, no images at all, only 42 KB to load, which means it’s lightning fast.

It uses the life savior blueprint framework. Check it out, it’s definetly worth a look.

Custom Fields

Latest post images are displayed through custom fields. I’ve tried to make it as easy as possible.

Upload an 80 x 80 px image and copy the full url to it.

Crate a custom field named “Thumbnail”, without the quotes, with the url to the image as value. Click on “add custom field” and you’re good to go. Hit publish and that’s it.

Theres another custom field you can optionally use, named “featured”. It’s created the same way as above and displays a 200 x 300 image on the left of your latest post.

Excerpts

After writing your post, copy one or two paragraphs and paste on the “excerpt” field, if you’re using the “featured” custom field, this is a must do.

In fact, there’s no reason why you should not use it, since it gives your front page a very nice look.

Bugs

The theme’s been tested through Firefox, IE 6 and IE 7, with no display issues at all. If you find any bug, please leave a comment to let me know and solve it.

By the way, any support issues must use the comments as well. No response will be given in any other way, including contact form.
